Fabio Giomi is Researcher at the Centre d’études turques, ottomanes, balkaniques et centrasiatiques (CETOBAC) in Paris, France. Among his current research topics are voluntary associations in the Yugoslav region, Balkan Muslims, gender and women’s history in Southeastern Europe, and transnational history.
He is currently working on a book manuscript entitled Forging European Muslim Women: Voluntary Associations, Gender and Islam in post-Ottoman Bosnia-Herzegovina. With Nathalie Clayer and Emmanuel Szurek.
He is also editing the book Towards a Transnational history of Kemalism in the post-Ottoman space.
